PLAYOFF FEVER…With 11 games remaining, Milwaukee holds a four point lead with two games in-hand over the Utah Grizzlies for the final playoff spot. The Admirals will play six of their last 11 games in an eight day stretch beginning Wednesday night. The team’s magic number to clinch a playoff spot is 15 (any combination of Admiral points and missed points by Utah totaling 15).

FIRE ON ICE…In the team’s 37 games since the first of the year, Milwaukee is 23-9-5 (.689). Outstanding individual performances by the current players since January 1st have highlighted the past three months. Goaltender Jan Lasak is 13-3-1 during that span. His goals-against-average has dropped from 3.10 to 2.72 and his save percentage is up from .894 to .909. Forward Ville Peltonen has scored 41 points (17g-24a) in 33 games since January 1st, while Mark Mowers has tallied 29 points (15g-14a) in that span. Rookie center Jason Goulet has paced the first year players since January 1st with 25 points (14g-11a).

ROAD WARRIORS…The Admirals have been terrible guests recently. Milwaukee is 8-1-3 in their last twelve road games and 11-4-3 in their last 17 trips on the IHL highways.

VS. LUMBERJACKS… The Admirals and Lumberjacks meet Wednesday and Saturday. Wednesday’s game at the Bradley Center is the fifth meeting of the season with Milwaukee at 1-2-1 through the first four games. Saturday will mark the first of three straight Saturday games between the two teams in Cleveland.

VS. VIPERS… The Admirals and Vipers play the seventh and eighth games of their season series this week. Milwaukee visits the Vipers on Thursday and Detroit comes to the Bradley Center Sunday afternoon. Milwaukee is 4-1-1 after losing in overtime last Friday night. Although the Admirals are ahead in the season series, four of the six contests have been decided by a single goal.

PELTY POWER…Ville Peltonen leads the team in scoring with 49 points (20g-29a) despite playing in only 43 games. Peltonen has 21 points (8g-13a) in his last 13 games.

LASAK SURGEON…Netminder Jan Lasak is 13-3-1 since January 1st. His most recent triumph came in a 4-1 win in Chicago Sunday. He is 5-1-1 in his last seven starts. For the year, Lasak is 20-15-2 with a 2.72 GAA and .909 save %.

MARK OF EXCELLENCE…Forward Mark Mowers has scored 16 points (10g-6a) points in his last 16 games. The former University of New Hampshire star has scored at least one goal against nine of the ten other IHL teams. The only exception is the Detroit Vipers. For the season, Mowers has 37 points (17g-20a) in 52 games.

JASON “GOAL"ET…Center Jason Goulet earned the Rookie of the Month honor for February. The former St. Cloud State star has 19 points (10g-9a) in his last nineteen games.

BONUS BABIES…In sixteen extra sessions this season, the Admirals are 10-6 with a 5-3 record in both shootout contests and overtimes. Bubba Berenzweig has accounted for three OT goals while Ville Peltonen and Mark Mowers
have picked up the other two game winners.
