PLAYOFF FEVER
With 11 games remaining,
Milwaukee holds a four point lead with two games in-hand over
the Utah Grizzlies for the final playoff spot. The Admirals will
play six of their last 11 games in an eight day stretch beginning
Wednesday night. The teams magic number to clinch a playoff
spot is 15 (any combination of Admiral points and missed points
by Utah totaling 15).
FIRE ON ICE
In the teams 37 games
since the first of the year, Milwaukee is 23-9-5 (.689). Outstanding
individual performances by the current players since January
1st have highlighted the past three months. Goaltender Jan Lasak
is 13-3-1 during that span. His goals-against-average has dropped
from 3.10 to 2.72 and his save percentage is up from .894 to
.909. Forward Ville Peltonen has scored 41 points (17g-24a) in
33 games since January 1st, while Mark Mowers has tallied 29
points (15g-14a) in that span. Rookie center Jason Goulet has
paced the first year players since January 1st with 25 points
(14g-11a).
ROAD WARRIORS
The Admirals have been
terrible guests recently. Milwaukee is 8-1-3 in their last twelve
road games and 11-4-3 in their last 17 trips on the IHL highways.
VS. LUMBERJACKS
The Admirals and Lumberjacks
meet Wednesday and Saturday. Wednesdays game at the Bradley
Center is the fifth meeting of the season with Milwaukee at 1-2-1
through the first four games. Saturday will mark the first of
three straight Saturday games between the two teams in Cleveland.
VS. VIPERS
The Admirals and Vipers play
the seventh and eighth games of their season series this week.
Milwaukee visits the Vipers on Thursday and Detroit comes to
the Bradley Center Sunday afternoon. Milwaukee is 4-1-1 after
losing in overtime last Friday night. Although the Admirals are
ahead in the season series, four of the six contests have been
decided by a single goal.
PELTY POWER
Ville Peltonen leads the
team in scoring with 49 points (20g-29a) despite playing in only
43 games. Peltonen has 21 points (8g-13a) in his last 13 games.
LASAK SURGEON
Netminder Jan Lasak is
13-3-1 since January 1st. His most recent triumph came in a 4-1
win in Chicago Sunday. He is 5-1-1 in his last seven starts.
For the year, Lasak is 20-15-2 with a 2.72 GAA and .909 save

MARK OF EXCELLENCE
Forward Mark Mowers
has scored 16 points (10g-6a) points in his last 16 games. The
former University of New Hampshire star has scored at least one
goal against nine of the ten other IHL teams. The only exception
is the Detroit Vipers. For the season, Mowers has 37 points (17g-20a)
in 52 games.
JASON GOAL"ET
Center Jason
Goulet earned the Rookie of the Month honor for February. The
former St. Cloud State star has 19 points (10g-9a) in his last
nineteen games.

In sixteen extra sessions
this season, the Admirals are 10-6 with a 5-3 record in both
shootout contests and overtimes. Bubba Berenzweig has accounted
for three OT goals while Ville Peltonen and Mark Mowers
